This is a list of historical events that happened on Shartak during 2007.

January

• Leaders in the native settlements order a spring clean to remove loose poison darts and blowpipes from medical huts.
• The 1st Imperial Privateer Regiment sacks Wiksik and re-names it New Maastricht.
• The Derby Academy is established.

February

• Fourth Battle of York begins.
• The Eastern Federation is established.

March

• Wixix Contest Division Prize Section organise a headhunt competition - the Dork Cup - to be held in May.
• Armadox and the Scavengers raze Raktam.

April

• Easter Bunnies are again seen on the Island.
• An earthquake shakes the Island, the epicentre being somewhere to the South East of the Island.
• Stories of Spirits possessing the living begin to increase.
• Fourth Battle of York ends.
• The Imperial Bank changes its name to the Bank of Shartak.
• The Independent Republic of Fort Creedy declares independence.
• Simeon Carter maps the newly arisen Midway Island and reports its presence widely via carrier pigeon.

May

• Escariot wins the Dork Cup.
• Strange noises are heard from the mountain. Tales spread of worried natives being overheard discussing some fearsome bird-like creatures that once roamed parts of the island.
• The Mercenary's Guild disbands.
• 5punk arrives on the island.

June

• Juicing of fruit creates new business opportunities for those on the Island.
• Strange lights are seen in the skies about the Island that display a ghostly message of '#Shartak'.
• Those using maps start to share tips on how to make more use of them, noting interesting locations for further investigation.
• As a consequence of attrition from the Fourth Battle of York the 1st Imperial Privateers Regiment is officially disbanded.
• The York Coalition falls apart, and 5punk assumes de facto control over York.

July

• The Traders on the Island start to sell backpacks.
• Blue Hummingbird founds the Royal Court of Greater Raktam.
• The Dalpok Liberation Front is established.

August

• The Battle of the Pirates Graveyard sees the destruction of the pirate force lead by the Brotherhood of the Coast that was plaguing Raktam during August by the Royal Court of Greater Raktam and its allies.
• The Kraken Hunters are established.

September

• An election is held in Durham and the voting totals are lost. The three candidates Ron Burgundy, Tomn, and Mill Wilkinson agree to share power and form a Consulature. Shortly after gambling is legalized in Durham.

October

• The Battle of Archer's Pool sees a coalition of pirates lead by the Brotherhood of the Coast defeat the Dalpok Liberation Front and their allies.
• Shamans reveal powers previously unknown by which they torment spirits to shriek, wail and gnash their ghostly teeth.
• Chikram is founded by the Royal Court of Greater Raktam. The Eastern Federation recognises the sovereignty of the Royal Court of Greater Raktam.
• The Bank of Shartak changes its name to Templar Bank.

November

• Salvaged GPS units begin to show signs of deteriorating batteries.
• Utility Bank is established.

December

• Santa returns to the Island for the holiday season.
• Commonwealth is established between the Independent Republic of Fort Creedy and the Royal Court of Greater Raktam.
