Derby is one of the four outsider home locations on Shartak. Located on the far eastern side of the island's southern shore, it consists of twenty-three huts in a roughly circular clearing.

A shaman named Balchig is held captive in the center of the clearing.

Points of interest

Trail to York

Starting 2 N of the center of the clearing (08,06), go 10 squares NW. Then follow the instructions carved every 5 squares (where possible), and you should soon find yourself in York. The trail is 270 squares long, which will take you about 4 days without Trekking or 2 days with it.
