Special characters are NPCs that appear on Shartak on special occasions and disappear the rest of the year.
- Santa appears during the Christmas period.
- Two elves accompany Santa in his grotto.
- A chief has come with Santa since 2007.
- Easter bunnies appear regularly during Easter.
- Zombified animals and werewolves appear during Halloween.
