What do you have to do to destroy it? I've hit one a bunch of times with my machete, but that broke, and I've hit the same one over and over with my knife, but it keeps saying I barely leave a mark on it. + | :It's just a matter of chance. You don't damage a sign, you either destroy it or not. If you keep trying, eventually you'll get lucky and destroy it. I am not sure if it is possible to destroy a sign with a knife, I've only tried it with machetes and cutlasses. --[[User:Oktavius|Oktavius]] 11:10, 6 January 2008 (UTC) |

Destruction
I suspect that any successful melee attack on a signpost results in its destruction. I also suspect that attack odds apply even against signposts. Whether or not I'm right, the article should be clearer. — Elembis 09:39, 21 May 2006 (BST)
Either attack odds are relevant (likely) or signposts take more than a few hits to destroy (unlikely); either way, it's not instant and guaranteed.[1] — Elembis 18:23, 21 May 2006 (BST)
