Signposts allow a slightly more permanent and noticeable form of writing messages at a location. Once you have the required items in your inventory, a button appears that allows you to construct a signpost and type its text. When a sign is fashioned, the maker can choose to point it in one of eight directions (north, northeast, east, southeast, south, southwest, west, northwest), or nowhere at all. The signpost will appear as a small icon on the jungle map and will be readable by any player on the same square with sufficient language skills.

Signs are a nice way to leave markers around the isle of Shartak. They are commonly used to mark roads that are maintained by players. Signs can be knocked down at any point by anyone though, so they should not be considered a permanent feature.

Required Items

Two pieces of driftwood/deadwood/wooden planks and a dagger/knife are required to make a sign.

Additional Items

Skulls are not required to make a sign, but they can be used to enhance the look of the sign. One can place one, two, or three skulls on a sign. Each skull added to the sign will yield 1 XP.
