Mountain
The mountain, also called Mt. Shartak, is located near the center of the main island. It consists of the three parts: the ground level, the mountain path, and the Sacred Space. The mountain path also has a cave that connects to the tunnel network beneath the island.
Ground Level
The ground level consists mostly of impassable mountain tiles surrounded by jungle. However, there are three mountain path tiles that can be entered: one in the south at [-70.364,+26.432], one in the east at [-70.329,+26.431], and one in the north at [-70.382,+26.479]. The mountain path tiles give the option to 'go up' and after climbing up twice, you reach the mountain path. Additionally, a small part of the mountain path can be accessed through the waterfall in the south at [-70.351,+26.429].
There is also a small cave and a tunnel on the southeastern side of the mountain between [-70.340,+26.429] and [-70.333,+26.425]. It can act as a minor shortcut and as the only place to hunt giant spiders on the ground level.
Mountain Path

The mountain path can be accessed through the entrances on the ground level or the Sacred Space. A rockfall connects the main stretch of the mountain path to the Sacred Space from the north. The waterfall in the south connects a small, otherwise inaccessible part of the mountain path to both the ground level and the Sacred Space.
The mountain path is noteworthy in that it is the only place where bears, goats, and shargles appear to spawn, although they can randomly wander down the mountain path into the jungle. As both bears and shargles are aggressive and the mountain is often swarming with them, it may be a good idea to bring supplies for a campfire if you plan to stay extended periods there. The jungle tiles on the mountain path are also the only place where shargle eggs can be found. Additionally, to learn the faith skill, one must first enter the Sacred Space through the mountain path and chant at the totems there.
Mountain Cave
A dark cave tile at [-70.368,+26.442] opens into a short tunnel into the mountain. The tile at the end of the tunnel allows one to go down four times before reaching a larger cave detailed on the bottom left corner of the map. The cave is swarming with seemingly infinite amounts of rats, along with the occasional giant spider, shargle, and bear. The remains of a cleared cave-in on the northwestern end of the cave connects it to the large tunnel network.
The second level consists of a single tunnel tile that seems to always house several giant spiders, making it an optimal spot to hunt them.
Sacred Space

The mountain path connects to the Sacred Space by two ways: through a rockfall on the northern side at [-70.393,+26.474] and a waterfall on the southern side at [-70.351,+26.431]. Sacred Space is detailed in the main article.
