Initial Announcement

The initial Announcement of Death Aid 2010 occurred on August 29th, proclaiming it would begin on midnight September 15th, server time. The person holding the contest, and also a participant, is Anthor. Contestants are to achieve two kills in every village, (Dalpok, Derby, Durham, Rakmogak,Raktam, the shipwreck, Wiksik and York) then make it back to mountain. The person who does this first wins.

Main Rules

  • Contestants must start at the top of the mountain on September 15th, midnight.
  • Contestants needed to make two kills within all villages. The kills need to be screenshot and posted before the end of the contest.
    • For Dalpok, Derby, Durham, Raktam, Wiksik and York the contestant must kill one person in a resource hut (Medical, Trader or Weapon) and one kill within the city boundaries.
    • For the shipwreck the contestant needs to make both kills inside the shipwreck or at the Pirate Trader's Hut.
    • Lastly, for Rakmogak, the contestant must make two kills within the village boundaries.
  • After making the required kills, contestants must make it back to the waterfall and say "Praise Be to the Ancient Ones. I have completed my Quest."

Additional Rules

  • One Character per Player
  • No Zerging, Alt Abuse, Etc. No using your other characters to spot for your Contestant character.
  • No xp to ap conversion.
  • No use of fungi juice.
  • No killing other competitors for 48hrs prior to the start of the contest, and for 24hrs after the start... then it's a free for all... in fact, killing the other competitors to slow them down, is encouraged.
  • No using your friends, enemies, Alts, shargles, Spirits or anything else to soften up your victims. You must complete the kill all on your own.

  • Third Prize - 25 Gold Coins
  • Bonus Prize - 25 Gold Coins (The bonus prize is given to the contestant who screencaps the most hilarious death. The judge of this is Anthor.)

Death Aid 2010 - Bobby the Hatchet Comes in First!

  • Bobby the Hatchet says “Praise Be to the Ancient Ones. I have completed my Quest.”

Some Wailing and A Surprise Attach by Shartak's Most Wanted... Swarm

  • You hear Cobalt Manticore let out a banshee wail coming from all around you.
  • Swarm says “Ah, greetings Anthor. I figured that I would meet you one day.” with a slight accent.
  • Swarm attacks you with a machete for 3 damage.
  • Swarm cuts off Anthor's arm
  • Swarm attacks you with a knife for 2 damage. You die.
  • Swarm curses

Brenner arrives, no respect!

  • Brenner clambers up from the frothing waters of the waterfall's edge, perching himself upon a tall, dry stone. He wags some water from the surface of a glove, surprisingly dry, otherwise.
  • Brenner 's achingly cold gaze would fall upon the hot-blooded cannibal, Bobby, and stare for several moments before nodding. "Congratulations. If I'd been beaten by anyone else..."
  • Brenner snickers, shrugging nonchalantly as he twirls a thin blade serrated at both edges. "My knife would've had to do my complainin' for me."
  • Brenner notes the dead king floating about in the water, tilting the brim of his helmet above his eyes to get a clearer look. "Well I'll be, the loon of a king is here, too."
  • Brenner hop-skips with inhuman care down to the side of the fallen monarch. Looking upon the body solemnly for several long seconds, he would promptly boot it over the edge to tumble to the shallows.
  • Brenner simply grins as he looks over the edge to watch the corpse squelch and distend with the impact on the thin sheen of water and jagged rocks. "Heh. Okay, that made my day. No offense, King'y."
  • Brenner says “You just crunch humorously.” with a slight accent.
  • Brenner turns back to focus on the cannibal. "I'll see you around, bone-gnawer. 'Til the next bloodbath, or the next contest. Whichever comes first..."
  • Brenner spins about on his heel and leaps from the waterfall's edge without so much as a noise.

A Messenger From the Ancient Ones

  • Leaky Bocks splashes across the top of the waterfall with a package.
  • Leaky Bocks says “Package for Anthor! Sign here please.”
  • Leaky Bocks obtains a signature for the item and hands it over.
  • Leaky Bocks gives you a bolo knife.
  • Leaky Bocks inflates his dinghy and jumps into it, holding tight as it sails over the edge of the waterfall. You hear a "Wheeeeeeee!!!!!" as he disappears.

Anthor Resurrects & Brenner Reappears

  • Anthor arises from the top of the waterfall... turning from dead to alive with a flash of light from the heavens
  • You assume spirit form and leave your corpse behind.
  • You hold a seance and sense the presence of Skorrid .
  • Brenner gains 5 health from a healing herb
  • Brenner re-appears, blackened sword in hand as he had heard a curious commotion about the place he'd just left. "Perhaps it would be best to see one of these ceremonies..."
  • Brenner sheathes his blade once he finds the place hospitable and not a smoldering crater from lightning.

Anthor conducts the Prize Ceremony

  • You say “Bobby the Hatchet!”
  • You say “The power of the Ancient Ones is Great.”
  • You say “As they can destroy with flashes of light and giant stones”
  • You say “They can also give life”
  • You say “I must thank the messenger of the Gods, Mr Leaky Bocks, for his visit.”
  • You say “It left me somewhat mute and unable to move there for a bit... I saw my past lives flash before my eyes.”
  • You say “But enough about the Loon King, as some would call me.”
  • Anthor grins at Brenner
  • You say “Bobby the Hatchet, you have completed a task that most would be unable to even get near to the end.”
  • You say “Your mapping, your planning, your swiftness of movement, and ability to be unseen in the jungles...”
  • You say “You are a true jungle warrior!”
  • You say “On this day, with the wind of the Ancients on his heels, I declare Bobby the Hatchet the winner of the Death Aid 2010 competition.”
  • You say “Here is your prize!”
  • Anthor hands over a sharp bolo knife which has inscribed on the handle 'Winner of the Death Aid 2010 competition', to Bobby.
  • You say “Praise Be to the Ancient Ones, they who give life and take life!”
  • You give a bolo knife to Bobby the Hatchet .
  • You say “And to Brenner, I appreciate your stopping by. I take no offense at your standing on my dead body :p”
  • You say “We shall see who arrives next!”
  • Brenner applauds languidly. "Welcome to the big leagues, Bobby."

Bobby Accepts his Prize

  • Bobby the Hatchet raises the bolo knife proudly, surveying the jungles of the island below. "Praise Be to the Ancient Ones, they who give life and take life!"
  • Bobby the Hatchet says “I stand here today beside an outsider and an old enemy. You have fought well, honoring the way of the warrior. The Ancestors smile upon us on this day. ”
  • Bobby the Hatchet flashes his bloody fangs as he sheaths the knife, "Let the weak known that the way of the headhunter is not dead. May the eyes of the cowards never sleep!
  • Bobby the Hatchet sniffs at the earthen bank, "I will remain close until the others have returned, but my hunt has no end."
  • Brenner 's sly grin splits his visage. "Well said, flesh-gorger. A right fine speech. I'll keep my ear out for the whistle of that beauty slicing through the air."
