York Season

Initial Encounter

New Haven member Noahsan randomly encountered York citizen the Travelling Salesman. This is the transcript of what happened.

• (Insert something about a cart full of swords tipping over.)
• (2010-09-01 00:40) the Travelling Salesman attacks you with a machete for 2 damage.
• (2010-09-01 00:40) the Travelling Salesman attacks you with a machete for 2 damage.
• (2010-09-01 00:41) the Travelling Salesman leaps over his cart and finds the man to be bleedingly profusely, but still alive! "I'm terribly sorry, sir! That almost never happens!"
• (2010-09-01 00:43) the Travelling Salesman no longer cares about the man he almost killed, instead he focuses his attention on his cart and machetes. "Your blood is tainting my blades, I'm afraid you're going to have to pay for those."
• (2010-09-01 00:45) the Travelling Salesman pulls out his notebook and scribbles the name Noahsan into the pages. He notes the number 300 next to the name. "That's 30 machetes at 10gc a piece. 300gc, please."
• (2010-09-01 00:47) the Travelling Salesman writes another note with the same information on a different page and tears it out. He hands it to Noahsan, "That's your receipt, keep it on hand or you won't recieve your shipment."
• (2010-09-01 00:50) the Travelling Salesman lifts his cart up off the ground, resheathing all of the machetes. "I won't give you the goods unless you pay me first, just remember that."
• (2010-09-01 01:38) You use a first aid kit and feel better.
• (2010-09-01 01:40) You fire at the Travelling Salesman with a rifle for 5 damage. They die. You gain 0 XP.
• (2010-09-01 01:40) Underworld log successful . (no XP)
• (2010-09-01 01:41) You say “Oopsss.... my rifles went off. Sorry about that.”

New Haven Strikes

After this encounter, Solemn declared that York Season was open. This was announced on the forums.

For the month of September, the Society of New Haven shall wreak havoc and make sport of all Yorkers in and around York. I must advise that you focus on the belligerent types and implore you to shy away from the folks who are relatively peaceful. This is, after all, an attack on the audacity of the unsporting Yorkers who would do us harm!

Through this attack, we hope to gain freedom from their willy-nilly attacks, along with challenging any and all upstanding Yorkers to make themselves known, 'lest they fall into the stereotypical rabble of the typical Yorkie persuasion.

At the end of the month as signalled by EST, whomever has the most Yorkie kills or kills on those aligned with York's best interests shall receive a special prize! Be it crate after crate of wine? A heap of gold? A special weapon? Such a thing shall be revealed within the week, so step forth and polish your blades with the interior of someone's skull, just remember to make sure they're from York!

Participants

Almost every member of the Society of New Haven showed up for York Season. Over 50 Yorkers were killed over the course of the month long event. Prizes were awarded to the top killers.

Prizes

• 1st Place -Brawler's Tankard, Awarded to zomtard with 12 kills.
• 2nd Place - 200gc, Awarded to Noahsan with 10 kills
• 3rd Place - 100gc, Awarded to Aiden Dakari and Johnny Hobo with 7 kills each.
