General Information
Charms is the collective term for a group of items which, when in a person's possession, appear listed on their profile in italics under their character description.
When clicked on the charm, which costs 0 AP, the following description is given:
The [charm name] doesn't appear to actually do anything. Maybe just carrying it is sufficient if you believe in its power.
Because of this ambiguous description there have been many theories put forward as to what each charm does. However, few have ever been backed up by empirical evidence.
Charms
These charms will affect the wearer in subtle ways while worn. They can be found in jungles, ruins, sold at the traders, or traded between players. The Skill Faith will cause the charms to affect the wearer slightly more.
Silver Skull Cross

Theorised effect(s): Increased susceptibility to damage from spirit wailing.
Proven effect: Reduced chance of getting possessed. Exact figures unknown.

Skulls
Skulls can be collected from dead bodies by natives with the headhunting skill. This appear on one's profile like charms do.
Special Items
A number of special items have been offered as prizes for player-made contests, at Simon's discretion. These items show up in the same manner as charms on a player's profile and can be used as Melee Weapons
