April

• April 1st - The King of York's War (contest with prizes - see link)

Keiichi claims kingship over York and its dominions, and this war is designed to put him on the throne of York as well as destroy York's current extremist government. This is the latest claim in a long series of efforts to rule over York. The Pirate High Command is sympathetic to King Keiichi of York's claim, and urges all pirates, mercenaries, rogues and villains from outsider encampments, as well as our noble native and cannibal adversaries, to participate in the war to liberate York and install its new monarchy.

The contest begins at GMT midnight 1 April 2009 and finishes at GMT midnight 30 April 2009 (turning 1 May 2009). --Buttercup 06:05, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

• April 1st - The York Triple Crown (contest with prizes - see link)

York has been threatened with war by proxy on all sides. The anarchist Keiichi has threatened the state of York with a coup consisting of traitorous outsiders and the pernicious forces of the Pirate High Command, led by the infamous anti-York marauder FirstAmongstDaves. The false pagan goddess Blue Hummingbird has also encouraged her bloody and battered nation to take part in the invasion, offering paltry gifts to those who would risk neck and limb for the sake of wanton massacre.

This affront to civilisation cannot go unpunished, hence the Greater Shartak Unification Coalition and similar pro-York forces have formulated a fitting counter to the native-pirate threat, with an island-wide call to arms for those who wish to preserve the outsider culture.

The tri-athletic competition begins at GMT midnight 1 April 2009 and finishes at GMT midnight 15 May 2009 (turning 16 May 2009). The event consists of three contests which last for 15 days each. --Buttercup 06:05, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

• March 19^th - At 10am this morning, Anthor, Avatar & Leader of the Kingdom of Skulls was kidnapped from a hut in Raktam. Both of the warriors with him at the time were executed in what can only be described as the actions of a psychopath. Other than the bodies of the two warriors, and the bloody remains of a scuffle, all that was left behind was a note written in blood. • February 20^th - Start date for the Native Awareness Month, an island-wide native-killing competition, hosted by the Greater Shartak Unification Coalition. Ends on March 22. --Delaco 17:51, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

January

• January 9^th - The start of this year found wiksik covered with bloodshed. This was due to a war on necromancy declared by black fang on the date above. The issue that bought about this war was the necromancer policy of exorcist execution. The war was later ended (Jan 20^th) when the necromancers revoked this edict with an apology, however this was only accomplished after much bloodshed and the deaths of many innocents.
