Christmas

Christmas in Shartak is an event that starts around a week before December 25th and lasts for about two weeks. During the event, Santa appears in Santa's grotto [-70.319,+26.384] along with a chief elf and two elves. Each character visiting Santa at his grotto can receive one gift during the event. Additionally, the description outside and inside Santa's grotto changes during the event. The NPCs are detailed in the Santa article and the grotto in the hut article.

Santa's Gifts

When Santa is in the grotto, a character can "Ask Santa for gift" once per event for 1 AP. If you attempt to do so a second time, you get the following message:

• Santa says, "Sorry, only one present per person. Come back next year!"

The quality of the gifts depends on how good Santa thinks you have behaved during the year. It is unknown if this is determined randomly, or if it is actually based on your character's actions, such as how many people you have killed or healed. It's also not known if other factors, such as your class, affects what gifts are given.

When you ask for a gift, you will get three lines of text, for example:

• Santa says, "You've been (very naughty/quite naughty/somewhat good/quite good/very good/especially good) this year!"
• Santa says, "Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas! I don't have a toy train so go and buy yourself something nice from your trader instead."
• Santa gives you 60 gold coins and a bullet.
