It would be easier for players to ask questions about the game if we waived the registration requirement for editing this page. As far as I know, MediaWiki allows page-specific protection settings (an administrator could probably even unprotect this article while keeping this talk page protected), and since answers to questions usually appear in the relevant articles (as they should), there wouldn't be much here for anonymous users to vandalize. — [[User:Elembis|Elembis]] 00:18, 25 May 2006 (BST)

* The page isn't protected using the normal 'protect' button. It's a global feature hardcoded within one of the modules that requires the email address to be validated before you can edit the page. If I can decipher the php, I'll see if I can make it only apply to pages other than this one. --[[User:Simon|Simon]] 15:10, 7 June 2006 (BST)

Unprotection

It would be easier for players to ask questions about the game if we waived the registration requirement for editing this page. As far as I know, MediaWiki allows page-specific protection settings (an administrator could probably even unprotect this article while keeping this talk page protected), and since answers to questions usually appear in the relevant articles (as they should), there wouldn't be much here for anonymous users to vandalize. — Elembis 00:18, 25 May 2006 (BST)
