The odds of special weapon events, such as a blade breaking, becoming dull, or dealing more damage than usual, are quite low. The approximate chance that any of these events will occur will eventually be estimable from the statistics on this page.
Only add data if you were already planning to add it when your character acted. It is essential that data be reported fairly, not just when something interesting happens.
Attack events
This subproject concerns weapon breaks and extra-damage hits. If you would like to collect data consistently, add your name to the table below by copying the following code and replacing "YourWeapon" with the melee weapon type you will be using; add your name to the bottom of the list, directly under the last person's entry. Create a separate entry if you begin using a different weapon type; machetes and blunt machetes are different weapon types, as are cutlasses and blunt cutlasses. Statistics for your attacks with the same weapon type (machete, blunt machete, cutlass, blunt cutlass, knife, dagger, or heavy sword) should be combined into one row. Add any questions or comments below the table.

Blade dulling
This subproject concerns machete/cutlass dulling (and XP gaining) in the process of chopping jungle. If you would like to collect data consistently, add your name to the table below by copying the following code and replacing "YourWeapon" with "Machete" or "Cutlass"; add your name to the bottom of the list, directly under the last person's entry. Create a separate entry if you begin using a different weapon type; machetes and blunt machetes are different weapon types, as are cutlasses and blunt cutlasses. Statistics for your attacks with the same weapon type (valid weapon types are "machete", "blunt machete", "cutlass", and "blunt cutlass") should be combined into one row. You may record your data according to the density of the jungle you chop, or you may simply record a total. Add any questions or comments below the table.
