General Information

Some animals can be upgraded, which means they have killed enough players, become stronger, faster, meaner, and overall badass. The animals listed on this page are the animals that have been confirmed to upgrade, but it's possible other animals can also upgrade. So far, three tiers of upgrades has been discovered, but other tiers may exist.

Here is small description of what the following lists explain.

  • Location Found - Where the animal can be most commonly found.
  • Max Hitpoints - The maximum number of hitpoints that the creature can have.
  • Damage - The amount of damage an attack from this animal causes.
  • Hit Chance - Chance to hit as a retaliation to a melee attack (against characters without animal affinity or charms). This is an approximation rounded to the closest 5% (based on the sample size mentioned). The numbers will become more accurate as research continues.
  • Speed - How often the animal acts. Normal (once per 30 minute cycle), 1/2 (once per two cycles at 35 minutes past), or 1/3 (once per 3 cycles, alternating between 5 and 35 minutes past).
  • XP Bonus - The bonus the player gets for killing the animal.
  • Attack Unprovoked - Whether or not an animal will attack a player if the player hasn't attacked the animal.
  • Special Notes - Other information about some animals.

Tier One Upgrades

These animals upgrade after killing two players. They are slightly stronger, and offer a slightly higher XP Bonus.

Aggressive Large Stag

  • Location Found - Jungle

  • Attack Unprovoked - No
  • Special Notes - Doesn't upgrade to tier two at 6 kills.

Aggressive Wild Boar

  • Location Found - Jungle, grassland
  • Max Hitpoints - 18
  • Damage - 4
  • Hit Chance - 35% (24/67)
  • Speed - 1/3
  • XP Bonus - 12
  • Attack Unprovoked - Yes
  • Special Notes - Upgrades to dangerous wild boar at 6 kills.

Chattering Monkey

  • Location Found - Jungle, grassland
  • Max Hitpoints - 13
  • Damage - 4
  • Hit Chance - 25% (13/54)
  • Speed - Normal
  • XP Bonus - 9
  • Attack Unprovoked - No
  • Special Notes - Upgrades to screeching monkey at six kills.

Ferocious Shargle

  • Location Found - Mountain path (can wander down into the jungle) or wherever hatched
  • Max Hitpoints - 37
  • Damage - 5
  • Hit Chance - ?
  • Speed - Normal
  • XP Bonus - 21
  • Attack Unprovoked - Yes
  • Special Notes - Can cause bleeding wounds. Upgrades to deadly shargle at 6 kills.

Ferocious Tiger

  • Location Found - Jungle, grassland
  • Max Hitpoints - 25
  • Damage - 6
  • Hit Chance - 30% (22/69)
  • Speed - Normal
  • XP Bonus - 15
  • Attack Unprovoked - Yes
  • Special Notes - Can cause bleeding wounds. Upgrades to deadly tiger at 6 kills.

Fully-Grown Giant Squid

  • Location Found - Water
  • Max Hitpoints - 553
  • Damage - 8
  • Hit Chance - 35% (51/141)
  • Speed - Normal
  • XP Bonus - 228
  • Attack Unprovoked - Yes

Hungry Alligator

  • Location Found - Swamp, river, lake
  • Max Hitpoints - 33
  • Damage - 4-6
  • Hit Chance - 50% (45/88)
  • Speed - Normal
  • XP Bonus - 10
  • Attack Unprovoked - Yes
  • Special Notes - Can cause bleeding wounds. Upgrades to man-eating alligator at 6 kills.

Hungry Bear

  • Location Found - Mountain path (can wander down into the jungle)
  • Max Hitpoints - 45?
  • Damage - 8
  • Hit Chance - ?
  • Speed - Normal
  • XP Bonus - ?
  • Attack Unprovoked - Yes
  • Special Notes - Can cause bleeding wounds. Doesn't upgrade to tier two at 6 kills.

Hungry Python

  • Location Found - Jungle

  • Damage - 14 to 20
  • Hit Chance - 50% (13/26)
  • Speed - Normal
  • XP Bonus - 143
  • Attack Unprovoked - Yes
  • Special Notes - Very rare. Hits constrict opponents. If someone tries to leave the square that the python is on after getting hit, they may take 2 damage. If you escape the python's grip, you gain 1 XP. Upgrades its damage level after a certain amount of kills up to 20 damage. Can upgrade to a man-eating python.

Hungry Rat

  • Location Found - Tunnel
  • Max Hitpoints - 4

  • Speed - Normal

  • Special Notes - Upgrades to cornered rat at 6 kills.

Rogue Elephant

  • Location Found - Jungle, grassland

  • Hit Chance - 35% (24/67)
  • Speed - 1/2
  • XP Bonus - 48
  • Attack Unprovoked - Yes
  • Special Notes - Doesn't upgrade to tier two at 6 kills.

Vengeful Mummy

  • Location Found - Camps, Midway Island (during Halloween)
  • Max Hitpoints - 42
  • Damage - 6
  • Hit Chance - 30% (5/18)
  • Speed - Normal (for attacks). They appear to move around less than other animals.
  • XP Bonus - 24
  • Attack Unprovoked - Yes
  • Special Notes - Upgrades from mummy. Doesn't upgrade to tier two at 6 kills.

Vicious Parrot

  • Location Found - Jungle, grassland
  • Max Hitpoints - 6
  • Damage - 4
  • Hit Chance - 40% (16/40)
  • Speed - Normal
  • XP Bonus - 6
  • Attack Unprovoked - No
  • Special Notes - Doesn't upgrade to tier two at 6-7 kills.

Wild Turkey

  • Location Found - Camps (sometimes during Thanksgiving, 26th of November)
  • Max Hitpoints - 30

  • Speed - Normal

  • Attack Unprovoked - Yes

Tier Two Upgrades

These animals upgrade after killing six players. They are stronger, and offer a higher XP bonus when killed.

Cornered Rat

These animals upgrade after killing eleven players. They are even stronger, and offer an even higher XP bonus when killed.

Enraged Silverback
