The Sentinels

Ever since the outsiders set foot on the island of Shartak, they have been kept awake by strange noises in the night, or even scared to death by the wailing of the restless dead. They only had to use their brains to realise that there was something strange in the neighborhood. But with no one to call to their aid, they had to put up with the spirits that would flock to their settlements, lured by the smell of the living. Until recently, the natives of the island were also plauged by the hauntings, until their shamans rediscovered ancient rituals of their ancestors that would banish spirits. Many natives saw the fact that the spirits now flock to their enemies, the outsiders settlements as a blessing. The shaman Rill, on the other hand, saw it as a viable business oppurtunity. Being able to exorcise spirits, he thought why not sell his services to these outsiders? And so, gathering up his possessions and stealing a logo from a team of four young outsider scientists that were doing research on the spirits, he set off to the outsider settlements to make some gold...

Hiring

An outsider or group of outsiders can hire one of our members. We will immediately dispatch one of our shamans to the required settlement and proceed to exorcise spirits from all the public places. The client is required to set up a signpost/hut informing other outsiders not to attack the exorcist, where the shaman will sleep. All of our shamans will refrain from any violence towards outsiders while they are working. To contact us please use the talk page.

Pacifism

The Sentinels are intended to be a completely pacifist clan - that is they will refrain from any kind of violence towards anyone, including notorious killers, nutjobs and retarded graffiti artists. The main reason for pacifism is to keep the Sentinels as a strictly neutral clan. The general attitude is "make gold, not enemies". However, if a clan starts targeting the Sentinels specifically then thats a different story...

Millitant Sub-Clan

If the Sentinels grow in numbers and manages to gain an enemy that actively hunts down members of the clan a sub-group of the clan will be formed which specialises in the defence of our Shaman.

Membership

Membership is limited to Shaman with the exorcise skill. Max language skills are a bonus for dealing with outsiders, but not vital. If you wish to join contact through the talk page or the relevant forum thread with a link to your profile.

Rules

  • Upon joining the Sentinels must be completely non-violent - even in self defense - anyone that attacks you should be reported to the nearest authorities or the Sentinel millitary group (if it ever exists).
  • Must like kittens and fluffy rabbits.
  • There are currently only two rules (not including this one) until I can come up with some kind of enforced dress code, possibly Power Ranger - inspired... or not.
  • Must adhere to the enforced dress code.
  • Leave any issues regarding protection to the group or town that hires you.
