This is a growing record of search results in specific terrain. The information here will provide insight into what searchable items are available and where the best location to find such items is.

Your Help Is Needed!

Here's the Situation: Until we've logged about 500 AP of searching in an individual terrain type, we have no idea of the Search Odds. So we're going to need your help! When restocking in town or at a tree, set aside a block of about 30-70 AP. Out in open terrain (such as jungle), there's a lot less to find and less incentive to search, so smaller (e.g. 10 AP) searches are fine. Just don't come here after-the-fact to log your amazing discoveries, or you'll totally screw up our search odds. (Well, feel free to log your find in the italic discovery text for that region -- especially if you find a heavy sword or are searching a new terrain such as Ruins. Just don't put that tally into the data table unless you've committed to the search in advance.)

You are encouraged to submit your own search results. Use the preview function to make sure you've got the table columns correct, and make sure that your total AP used adds up to your total searches.

If possible, please use the Search Odds Condensed page to submit your search results, since this Search Odds page is deprecated in favor of that one. Searches here will eventually be transcribed over to that page by an editor.

If table format looks like gibberish to you, but you are still willing to contribute, please add your data here in prose form: "Location: Dishevelled Hut in York. Searches: 20 AP. Found: bottle of water, mango, mango, heavy sword. Class: Scientist-0. Signed: ~~~~." I've got this page on my watchlist and I'll transcribe your entry.

Notes on Formatting

When listing Boxes of Bullets or Bundles of Darts, please put a parentheses around each instance, showing the number in the box. Hence (3), (3), (8) would mean that you found two boxes of 3 bullets and one box of 8 bullets.

Jungle densities (for Tree searches) should be listed in the appropriate column as d0 - d5 (or wherever conceals the tree). Please identify the tree as Poison, Tasty, Mango, or Banana.
