Russell used to be a soldier for the Continental Army. He has left the army to make money on his own. He has become a mercenary for hire, an assassin, and a rogue warrior. If paid enough he will kill anyone. He will kill anyone because it is fun. For money, food, gear, anything he wants.
He earned the name "The Vicious" because of all of his highway robberies, murders, crimes, while either grinning or cackling, depending on if the victim could see his mouth or not. He wears the red linen mask to keep the smell of the jungle out of his nose and to keep the officials from getting a good description of his face.
