The Independent Republic of Fort Creedy (a.k.a. Creedy Republic) is located at the Jail complex at {{GPS|70|666|26|380}}, northwest of Durham. It was established on 2007-04-17, after deliberations between its founding parents, Justice Hart (who originated the idea), Eptavian and Elegost.

We, the people who call Fort Creedy our home, understanding that, besides the settlements, other places of interest also need some form of government, noting the need for an established authority on the grounds of Fort Creedy and realizing the lack of such authority, declare that the Independent Republic of Fort Creedy (Creedy Republic for short) shall be established, that the grounds of Fort Creedy and the people therein shall be free and independent of the influence of the other settlements if they so wish, and that the Republic shall have the full power to establish its own laws and decide and execute the acts which it deems appropriate for its existence. We pledge our support to this declaration and our firm belief in the ideals of our Republic, the founding parents

2007-12-20. Tracer is appointed Surgeon General, responsible for the well-being of citizens and visitors.

2007-12-16. Following a referendum, the Creedy Republic has entered into a Commonwealth with the [[Royal Court of Greater Raktam]], and a Raktam garrison was mustered in the armoury. Members of the Court are welcome in Fort Creedy and citizens of Creedy are welcome in Raktam.

2007-05-03. Based on his experience as ambassador, Elegost is appointed minister of Foreign affairs and Defense.

2007-05-01. Neckbeard is appointed Chief of Police.

2007-04-19. The Creedy Republic invites all interested inhabitants of Shartak to acquire citizenship. There are many advantages to making it your home country. It is a friendly, peaceful establishment, democratically ruled, it is within a few hours' walk from Durham, it is not haunted and most importantly is rumored to have large amounts of "oil" hidden underneath it, waiting to be discovered. The state provides free permits for searching and does not tax its citizens for any finds.

2007-04-18. President Eptavian appoints Elegost ambassador to Derby. With a few swift slashes of his machete sends him to his new post to take care of his duties.

2007-04-17. During the first meeting of the governing council, Eptavian was elected first President of the Republic receiving 2 votes out of 2 (Elegost had gone for a walk and missed the voting).

:Most people are capable of maintaining a neutral stance on the wiki. Ziggy was declared a PKer on the Wiksik list long before she joined the Necromancers. The reference to her as a PKer in this historical context is correct - Etherdrifter has stated that at that time she was not acting with Guild backing therefore she ''was'' still PKing and her actions did lead to a more serious conflict than might otherwise have been the case. Please leave the Wiksik PKers pages as they are and as discussed elsewhere, feel free to keep your own record of events. On a related note I'm interested in the details of this current Necromancers vs SOS war as I get the impression that SOS have initiated unnecessary aggression and thus have something to answer for. I believe that the Necromancers have a right to declare such rules inside their own hut. Its theirs, even though taken by force.

:I don't think it matters now that peace has broken out. The page is intended to serve as a neutral record / memorial of events and to mark those who were involved. The Necromancers will doubtless have their own record of events, not sure that the natives will have their own record but someone should probably create one. ==Not a bad piece==
Well its not a bad summery, a little inaccurate (the death penalty was introduced in December and many of our guild members were victims of murder and not combatants) but not a bad summery at all. Although the fact that the peace was established on even grounds dictated by the head of the guild and not a necromancer submission is I am sure something all that were there know already. :The article does not state a date for Necromancers' introduction of death penalty. Didn't the Necromancers apologise? Didn't they concede wrongdoing? I'm sure that many of those killed (Necromancers ''and'' their opposition) could make a perfectly valid case for being labelled as victims rather than combatants. That would of necessity be a consequence of their stance in the war. A neutral stance will be maintained for this page. Feel free to present the Necromancers' version of events on your clan pages. A broad mix of natives opposed the Necromancers, there were no non-natives involved. Like it or not, warriors, headhunters, whomever, all were natives.

:The war lasted longer than it had to because both sides rejected terms offered - these were decisions taken by both sides and both sides must take responsibility for them - negotiation and warfare go hand in hand. It was Black Fang, one of your enemies, who proposed the current location of your spirit hut in order to bring about a resolution to the conflict - the consensus was that the war should continue and no quarter be given at all.
::Relocation was already under way before the war started (hence my absence at the start) and the place for the new hut was actually suggested by Bhaal for its invoke spirit protection. Oh and to quote yourself on the forums "There are no votes in Wiksik. There is no democracy in Wiksik. In Wiksik there are only machetes and blowguns", do not try and use façade democracy to cover your actions when you obviously have no regard for it. The war was started by black fang, the war was continued by black fang and the head hunters allied with SOS (The only group who actually had a grievance with us and who were the first to stop the killing) and the war was ended by the diplomacy of the guild. I don't think you have issues with the account per se. It seems to me as though you have difficulty accepting your responsibility for what occurred. If not for the policy of killing exorcists this conflict would not have occurred. The hands of the Necromancers are equally as reddened as the hands of those who opposed them. In November 2007 [[The Necromancers Guild]] claimed the [[Wiksik]] healers' hut for their base of operations and renamed it the ''spirit hut''. It functioned well, and peacefully for sometime, allowing healers and Shaman a place to use their skills.
After some players caused grieving to this system The Necromancers declared the use of [[Exorcism]] within this hut to be a crime. They instituted a policy of killing those natives who practiced exorcism on local spirits(spirit equivalent to Pking)This policy caused some distress amongst the natives of Wiksik, who disagreed with this rash decision.

On the evening of 08th January 2008 a warrior native ([[User:Skull Face/Black Fang|Black Fang]]) was killed in the healers' hut by a Necromancer (the X-PKer {{profile|2952|ziggyirked}}) for the alleged "crime" of headhunting a peaceful outsider who meant no harm. Although this was the members personal view, and not endorsed by the guild they were blamed anyway. this incident was the spark that ignited Shartak's first full-blown native vs native conflict. On one side was the Necromancers. On the other were natives killed as a consequence of Necromancer policies, those who felt that natives should be free from such rules and a some blood thirsty ring-ins looking for any excuse to spill blood. The result was a bitter civil war in Wiksik with otherwise peaceful natives taking the opportunity to settle scores in the traditional manner. For 11 days brother native killed brother native, bodies piled high and the huts of Wiksik were stained red with blood.
Many attempts were made at peace but Black Fang refused all negotiations, even after the Necromancers apologized and changed their exorcist policy, they refused to end the fight, targeting all necromancers even new, low level ones who had caused no one harm.

On the evening of 20th January 2008 a fragile peace was established. The Necromancers having already rectified their policies and apologized to those they had killed, claimed an empty hut at the S extremity of Wiksik as their own. The Wiksik natives reclaimed the healers' hut. All Wiksiks were once again free to live as they pleased.

The Wiksik natives reclaimed the healers' hut. All Wiksiks were once again free to live as they pleased.

During the time of the war a group called the S.O.S was formed. This was originally just a group to show support against the Necromancers, those who created it stated that it would be dissolved once it was no longer required.

Recently this group started attacking members of the guild who had done nothing to provoke it, remaining away from the main part of wiski in their new spirit hut.
Suspiciousness methods were used to kill the necromancers, such as low level characters to deliver the final blow, so as not to show up on the other characters kill count, leading to suspicions of zerging.

Some members of the S.O.S took the high road and left the group after such distainfull behaviour but others still continue to attack innocent guild members.
The Necromancers have been fighting back against this injustice.

== Historical Analysis ==

In November 2007 [[The Necromancers Guild]] claimed the [[Wiksik]] healers' hut for their base of operations and renamed it the ''spirit hut''. The Necromancers declared the use of [[Exorcism]] within this hut to be a crime. They instituted a policy of killing those natives who practiced exorcism in opposition to the Necromancers' ideals. This policy caused much distress amongst the natives of Wiksik as the unaffiliated shamen were opposed to violence and were loathe to strike out against fellow natives.

On the evening of 08th January 2008 a warrior native ([[User:Skull Face/Black Fang|Black Fang]]) was killed in the healers' hut by a Necromancer (the notorious PKer {{profile|2952|ziggyirked}}) for the alleged "crime" of headhunting an outsider. In spite of Necromancer denials that this killing was not in support of one of their policies, this incident was the spark that ignited Shartak's first full-blown native vs native conflict. On one side was the Necromancers. On the other were natives killed as a consequence of Necromancer policies and those who felt that natives should be free from such rules. The result was a bitter civil war in Wiksik with otherwise peaceful natives taking the opportunity to settle scores in the traditional manner. For 11 days brother native killed brother native, bodies piled high and the huts of Wiksik were stained red with blood.

On the evening of 20th January 2008 a fragile peace was established. The Necromancers conceded that their policies and killings were wrong, apologised to those they had killed and claimed an empty hut at the S extremity of Wiksik as their own. The Wiksik natives reclaimed the healers' hut. All Wiksiks were once again free to live as they pleased.

This distinction is important as the village of [[Wiksik]] has a reputation for being the home of natives who are actively anti-outsider.

This page is used to track Wiksik PKers and to support those who actively oppose PKers. Judgements on the relative morality of killing those from your home village are implied in the use of the phrase ''PKer''. Those who execute PKers generally consider themselves morally different from those they kill, citing the fact that they provide a community service by targeting killers who prey on others indiscriminately.

In November 2007 [[The Necromancers Guild]] claimed the [[Wiksik]] healers' hut for their base of operations and renamed it the ''spirit hut''. It functioned well, and peacefully for sometime, allowing healers and Shaman a place to use their skills.
After some players caused grieving to this system The Necromancers declared the use of [[Exorcism]] within this hut to be a crime. They instituted a policy of killing those natives who practiced exorcism on local spirits(spirit equivalent to Pking)This policy caused some distress amongst the natives of Wiksik, who disagreed with this rash decision.

On the evening of 08th January 2008 a warrior native ([[User:Skull Face/Black Fang|Black Fang]]) was killed in the healers' hut by a Necromancer (the X-PKer {{profile|2952|ziggyirked}}) for the alleged "crime" of headhunting a peaceful outsider who meant no harm. Although this was the members personal view, and not endorsed by the guild they were blamed anyway. this incident was the spark that ignited Shartak's first full-blown native vs native conflict. On one side was the Necromancers. On the other were natives killed as a consequence of Necromancer policies, those who felt that natives should be free from such rules and a some blood thirsty ring-ins looking for any excuse to spill blood. The result was a bitter civil war in Wiksik with otherwise peaceful natives taking the opportunity to settle scores in the traditional manner. For 11 days brother native killed brother native, bodies piled high and the huts of Wiksik were stained red with blood.
Many attempts were made at peace but Black Fang refused all negotiations, even after the Necromancers apologized and changed their exorcist policy, they refused to end the fight, targeting all necromancers even new, low level ones who had caused no one harm.

On the evening of 20th January 2008 a fragile peace was established. The Necromancers having already rectified their policies and apologized to those they had killed, claimed an empty hut at the S extremity of Wiksik as their own. The Wiksik natives reclaimed the healers' hut. All Wiksiks were once again free to live as they pleased.

During the time of the war a group called the S.O.S was formed. This was originally just a group to show support against the Necromancers, those who created it stated that it would be dissolved once it was no longer required.

Recently this group started attacking members of the guild who had done nothing to provoke it, remaining away from the main part of wiski in their new spirit hut.
Suspiciousness methods were used to kill the necromancers, such as low level characters to deliver the final blow, so as not to show up on the other characters kill count, leading to suspicions of zerging.

Some members of the S.O.S took the high road and left the group after such distainfull behaviour but others still continue to attack innocent guild members.
The Necromancers have been fighting back against this injustice.
