Keiichi: First of all, what is it like to be the captain of the Colonial Police?

Mac:Difficult at sometimes, boring at others and truly amazing in different ways. I’m not captain anymore, so it’s nice to get away from the scum.

Does York have a bright future?

York is unpredictable, I have a prediction but I’ll keep it to myself, for now.

Keiichi: What sort of threat does that 1st Colonial Militia impose?

Mac: Who? Oh, them. They don’t hurt, but they can certainly make your ears sting with their large fascist mouths.

Keiichi: Rum or wine?
Mac: REAL MEN DRINK RUM, YARR!

Keiichi: Any thoughts of getting the old Colonial Police headquarters back?

Mac: Ask my successor, Lexus. If I was going to take it I would have to raise an army of 30+.

Keiichi: Why do you tax pirates? Do you regret doing so?

Mac: No, the question should be “Why did you tax pirates?” I only taxed them during the raid for 2gc. The money went to supplies for the CP, and Sam calls it “corrupt” .

Keiichi: Could you consider letting me be in second-in-command of the Colonial Police? I have been around longer than most of your officers, and my bravado is legendary. I am a tactician!

Mac:Don’t you owe 500+ GC to the bank? It won’t look pretty if a second in command had his legs broken by a debt collector .

Keiichi: Keiichi or Otacon. Choose one!
Mac: Keiichi, because he has an IQ over 3.

Another interview.....with Blue Hummingbird!

Keiichi: I'd like to know what you were doing before becoming Queen of Raktam.

Blue Hummingbird: We were undergoing a rite of passage to reign, as directed by the soothsayed concurrence of the pink-tinged lunar eclipse and ochre fragrant blossoms carried by the warm spring breeze, laden with the scents of crystal waterfall spray and golden honeyed milk. This was a heavenly sign from Our ancestors to ceremonially consume with bared eyeteeth and carved nail the courage of the pallid invaders by the physical manifestation of their crimson hearts. Only when We presently consumed the chambers of the bravest of them, known as Guildmaster, did the churning cerulean skies rumble with the approval and satisfaction of the sacred sentinels-in-the-clouds, intangible in form but stalking the mists of the sky with a low-slung eye to the verdant jungle and a spectral eye to the stars and quintessence, and We nodded knowing our annointment was completed. With that, We returned to our homeland and assumed the carved amethyst throne of Raktam.

Ascension was a mystical rite which We do not expect non-believers or outsiders to comprehend with their limited spiritual sensorium, eyes shut open and ears cocked deaf.

Keiichi: How difficult has it been assuming power in Raktam? Has there been anybody wishing to steal it away? If so, who?

Blue Hummingbird: We do not assume power. We accept the love of the Raktami. And so love cannot be stolen: it can only be won, and to the honour and love of the Raktami We assume the stance of the Hooded Scorpion, the three pronged sacrifice of personal defence for the greater good of the people. Thus We lead the Host of the Crown to victory against the pirate scourge and built a cairn of their heads, for the love of the Raktami.

For those who do not accept Our love, such as Nihlia the Sceptic, We do not scorn them, but are ever patient that they be brought within the fold of the wings of Our love, beating as fast and as industriously as Our namesake.

Keiichi: Do you have any plans in the future to expand your rule to other villages/settlements?

Blue Hummingbird: We plan to establish two or three regional provinces with satraps, but the details of this have not been formalised. One will certainly be to the north to the ruins, one to the west encompassing the Pirates' Graveyard, and possibly one to the south at the lakes, depending upon our Wiksik cousins' views on this. (Our model of government is miraculously akin to pre-Alexandrian Assyrian or Persian, thus our propensity for both satraps and stone monoliths.) All proposed provinces lie within the region of Greater Raktam. Each satrap will be responsible for security in his or her province.

We have nothing but solidarity with our cousins in Wiksik and Dalpok - and in fact presently seek a warlord to lead an expeditionary force to assist the Dalpoki in the next, forthcoming battle with the stinky buccaneers.

Keiichi: Are outsiders welcome in your Royal Court?

Blue Hummingbird: Outsiders have been welcome. We consider Our Court to be cosmopolitan. We welcome peaceful traders and We welcome ambasssadors from other lands. Storytellers are very welcome and the best are rewarded with gold. It depends upon the purpose of the visit. Foreign mercenaries seeking employment of the Court are particularly welcome. We have roles for them, outside Our lands.

Keiichi: Is there a king of Raktam? If so, who is it?

Blue Hummingbird: There is a Crown Prince. His identity will be revealed in time.

Keiichi: How many people serve you?

Blue Hummingbird: No one serves us. We only seek the love of the Raktami, most often expressed through favours to the Crown, such as the activities of our armed Host, and especially through storytelling. Our favourite bard thus far has been Azuma of the Dalpoki. He spins a good yarn.

Keiichi: Lastly, I would like to know if you read The York Times. If so, what's your favorite article?

These days, you can hardly be in Shartak without hearing about Serious Sam. He has long been the hero of York children, and his greatness cannot be compared to anybody else! Voting being held in Durham, NOBODY CARES.

A voting process is being held in Durham, for the elections of the new governor/leader/dancing banana. However, when other people were asked about how they felt about the voting, a negative response was received.

A secret cult has surfaced from York, worshipping a great stone owl that lies on the edge of the great settlement. Followers in cloaks and feathered headdresses all bow down to the great owl god, offering gold and mangos to their deity. I have snuck into a meeting of these strange cultists........

A policeman whose name may rhyme with 'Bold Lackdonald.' was seen chanting by the owl statue. Perhaps he is the leader?

'Bold Lackdonald': "Oh, great owl statue! I have come to offer my gold to beg mercy upon my poor soul! May you peck out the eyes of our enemies, the - -------- -------!" (The name of the group has been censored to protect the innocent.)

This chanting soon led to a ritual sacrifice, where the owl cult lit incense and began to drag a pirate towards the statue. After chaining down the pirate, they poured a bucket-full of crabs upon him, and it was a sorry sight. So much pinching!

Soon afterwords, they had a feast of roast parrot and the blood of native children, of which I was invited to join in. Being a vegetarian, I made an excuse and made a narrow escape, returning to my hut in York, where I pondered the confusing events of the day.

i dont know if there are any mountains in the game, as i havent played for long, but there should be a new group of units known as the "mountains men" they would have their own breed of warriors, shamans, etc... they could climb on the mountains (as others could not, atleeast not without a new skill know as "mountain climbing") this could totally change the game and expand the map, as these new "mountain men" would have their own technical "world" seeing as they just ventured past the mountains and found life so they would have certain items only attainable up in the mountains, like ice, which could act as an "anti" wound where it heals you 1 hp every 3 turns or so and would melt after several days. this could also open up an entirely new class, know as:

trader, they can be played from any view point, mountain trader, native trader, etc... and they would start out with several items (maybe gold too) and they would be like shamans, when you attack them it says "they skillfully dodge you" but instead of never hitting, chances are just extremely low, traders could not attack other players unless they are defending (ie, someone attacks them first) they would have their own skill tree that would include:

+Mountain Climbing
+Veteran Climber (uses only 1 AP traversing mountains)

+Camper (can make wooden huts, but for 60 AP and several required items, huts can be perishable, or collapsable, maybe even just one hut per trader that can be moved)

+Salesman (can set up shop and act like the trading post NPCS)
+Bargain Hunter (better chance of finding things, maybe 25%)

all traders (could) start out with al knowledge, as in, outsider knowledge, native, etc... thus letting them communicate better)

traders would be seen differently, as in, they could be yellow, where mountain men would be brown.

Items would follow (my ideas):

Club: like machete, can cut through trees and has 20% chance to hit
Rock: easiest projectile, acts like blowpipe, single use, button added "find rock" in-game
Rope: can tie people up until they spend 10AP getting out
Log: acts like greatsword, dealing 8 damage (geez, what, a log swung at you wont do big damage?)

CAVES: could also be implemented, they would act like huts, can only be carved on with a machete or club (as in, a man beats a meessage into the soft rock.. i dont know how though...)
GREAT CAVE: would act like an exclusive mountain man power-up, it is basically a great hall, when searching, there is a 20% better chance of finding food and rocks, also where shaman is, and trading post.

MOUNTAIN TOP: several of these would be implemented, once at the top, players could see the island, getting to the top would be like entering a hut, except it would look like this

moving onto a down, or up, would move players up or down a floor, mountains would usually be 10-15 floors, sometimes "creatures" could be found, heres my "creature" list:

Bat, 1dmg 8hp (basically, a mountain parrot)
Dire Wolf, 4dmg 25hp (a strong tiger)
Gremlins, 5 dmg 50hp (they are like, disgruntled mountain people)

other creatures could be added.
once at the top of the mountain, players could see the island in DETAIL, as in, the island would be viewed in blocks, like urbandead, except players could be seen, no names, justthe number of people.

Ok, so, in several survivor movies, there are aliens on the island, (thinking of lord of the flies) and sometimes the aliens just turn out to be people or sumtin, anyway, aliens could decieve players by disguising themselves as either outsiders, or natives, a button could be placed that would function like an attack button:

ghosts can purchase "politics of the gods" as a skill and can run for "office" in the "necropolis" one single ghost will be elected and can demand sacrifices from villages who will have a "pot" in the center of town that players can "donate" items and dead bodies, if the "uber ghost" is not please, said persons can send "plague down on towns" such as 10 elephants rushing in, or the trader and shaman to leave for a short time.|

**I agree that this is far too complicated, but I don't think reviving should be shaman-only. That gives the natives a big fat advantage. It'd be fine if it was open to the Outsiders as well (probably as a scientist skill: Scientists have basically the same skill tree as the Shaman, including the rest of the spirit skills that are already in).

There would still be Pirate/Outsider relations as there are Native/Outsider relations now, but the Pirates would have a completely new group (one of the features of this is a different text font, like natives are green)

Bandit - Natives who've been outlawed for theft and murder and joined the Pirates in their raids. Starts with a Machette and Knife?

Armsman - Battle hardened Pirates, seeks rum, gold and wenches for big party. Starts with Cutlass and tiger tooth amulet/50exp

Scientists are now serving as the Outsiders' medics. I would be interested in seeing natives get a healer class, and in seeing Outsiders get an anti-spirit class, though. Maybe medicine-man and priest? Incidentally, the FAK production skill has already been suggested (which isn't to say that I dislike the idea). [[User:Black Joe|Black Joe]]
:I suggested that scientists should be the antispirit class with the Camera suggestion. Advanced triage and Emergency first aid are not out of place for a scientist, but scientists are really supposed to be more investigative than healing. Medics may share these skills with scientists, making them similar, but they would have a few more medical skills while scientist have more scientific skills. ===Hunter===

Alright, well, I think the natives should have a class devoted to hunting animals. They would start out with a poison blowdart gun, and a knife. The class would have a special skill tree specially for hunting animals, and here it goes....

Snipe- Be able to shoot an animal from a square away. Must be using either a blowdart gun or a rifle to be able to do this. Consumes 2 AP.

Camoflage- Be able to use the enviroment to be able to hide yourself. 1/2 a chance that the animal you are attacking will not be able to see you/attack you.

Maim- The ability to cripple or critically injure an animal. 20 percent chance that the animal will have the status 'Blood loss.' Can only be inflicted with a machete, knife, dagger, or heavy sword. Perhaps a rifle.

Animal call- Use a special animal call to lure animals. Affects a certain amount of squares, and works only on cetain animals. (I doubt a squid could be called.)

Dart manafacturing- With this skill, a hunter could spend maybe....5 AP to make a poison dart. This would be great because the hunter would be using the blowdart gun a lot, and it'd put more use to the blowdart gun.

Aim for vitals- 40% chance to inflict bonus on an animal, if using a ranged weapon.

(Yes, I know this sucks. I would just really love to see a class like this for the natives, and there would need to be a class for the outsider's, like the hunter. Comments?)

We need to wikify this, but i couldn't even do it to my own suggestion. I think that this is essentialy a good idea, I love the dart manufacture thingy but Aim for Vitals seems a little extreme, but I dont think the outsiders need a class for the hunter. If you look at the game stats you'll see that the number of outsiders to natives is very off balance. I think this would encourage more people to be natives. [[User:Rozen|Rozen]]
