The process of fermenting takes somewhere between 1 and 3 days. Successful attempt will give you 2 XP and a bottle or gourd with an alcoholic drink. Failure will yield 1 XP , the drink is automatically poured away leaving you with an empty bottle or gourd. The yeastweed is lost in both cases and can not be retrieved once it has been mixed with the juice.

Brewing skill
This skill is available for villagers, settlers and scientists. It is supposed to reduce the failure chance when making drinks. The fermenting times are also considerably shortened with the possession of this skill, one has to wait for only a few hours instead of a couple of days.

There has been no reports about the relation between this skill and the properties of the finished drinks.

Yeastweed
Yeastweed can be found in swamps and grasslands and is rather notorious for its rarity. Different locations are said to have different finding rates despite the similar terrain tiles that are used throughout the island. It is also speculated whether wildfires can temporarily reduce the rates in the grasslands.

Some Traders have been seen to be restocking on a limited number of yeastweed.

Properties of the drinks
Brewing changes the name of the drink and enhances the former properties by making it more effective in either healing or damaging the player. The XP gained from the consumption follows the regular rule of 1 XP per 1 (gained or lost) HP.

No effects of in-game intoxication have been observed so far.

Raktami legends and tales silently whisper about the people of the marshes. Distant, unknown and unseen. About the obscure spiritual arts that have been practised for long ages under the soaked moss, guarded by ferocious alligators and betraying quagmires. Now they walk the island once again, so similar to us and yet so distant.

Eyes with silver glow, pale burning skin, adorned in clothes never seen by village merchants. Orwhans have been seen crafting refined tools and machines, fiercely fighting on the battlefield, making foods that could pleasure even the most spoiled aristocrats of the island.

There are rumours they are leaderless, each pursuing his own path, without a sense of duty nor attachment to one another. Yet, they use peculiar greetings in similar patterns on their bodies. Some say they can awaken things in human blood that most could not imagined so far. Others tell stories about humans who were accepted into their ranks and were changed forever.
