What is this? The Royal Expedition speaking of war? Can anyone recall the last time that august clan was relevant? We may as well be lectured to by a stegosaurus on the intricacies of mammal reproduction: they speak on something they no longer understand, and which has lead to their imminent extinction. - [[FirstAmongstDaves]]

Fighting Continues in York

Nighter offered the opportunity to turn against the Mercenaries' Guild and join the Colonial Police. The alternative was for Nighter to no longer prevent Serious Sam of the 1st Colonial Militia to kill the bank manager of the Imperial bank (on the assumption that the Imperials and the non-combatant bank are in cahoots). This would prevent the CP being seen murdering a Yorkman. Here is the text:

What do you think of the offer of defending instead of attacking? I know you guys are just in this for the fun so don't you think it would be more fun to have Allies and defend York rather than attacking it. I know that the MG have no respect for you lot (I know this for a fact) so why help them in their cause when you would gain so much more by defending York.

Serious Sam is ready to destroy the banks and I can't keep him back much longer. It's way more fun attacking MG in real time (which we do) than randomly sitting around wasting AP trying to kill the CP. Also most of the MG are from different towsn so you get more experience killing them than killing Yorkers anyway.

York would be a more fun place to be with you lot in it in a peacefull way rather then all this crap all the time.

I keep trying to convince you becuase I think you lot are funny as f*** and it would be more fun to be on the same side in this. We could really p*** off the MG (even more so than they are now) and have a laugh doing it.

If you decide to go with this, we really need ALL of you to be in on it so if you do then PM them in private or something, let me know and I'll handle the rest of the York groups so they will leave you alone. Sound fair?

The Imperials discussed this proposal privately and dismissed it. Better to fail and die with the Guild, than sit in the first circle of hell as traitors, and, worse, as collaborators with the Colonial Police.

We have offered Nighter, who is a decent chap, the chance to join the Imperials and turn away from the tyranny of the Colonial Police, but he has refused to answer us.

But more fundamentally, once again we see that there is no difference between the CP and their allies, and that the CP will procure the deaths of non-combatants if it suits their purposes. The bank has now closed in York - which proves it is safer to do business in native villages than under the yolk of the fanatic junta in York. - FirstAmongstDaves

  • Why is this continuously being referred to as an invasion? Who is attempting to invade York? This is simply a massacre. --Archer 04:36, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
a) Out of respect for the MG, as calling it a massacre would imply that they were killing large numbers of civilians, which they have consistently denied.
b) Invasions are traditional. --The Yorkman 11:16, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
