I'd like to avoid telling people how to build their characters on this page. There are other pages where skills can be recommended for various reasons (some for hp, some for attack, some for healing, some for trekking, some for exploration etc) and for the various ways that people play.

The Island is easy to walk around.  Some parts are more difficult, but it's not that hard - trekking just makes it cost less AP, which can be an issue for new players with the IP block.  You can start and play a character without trekking.
