The usual suspects from left to right: Neil tugging a rope tied to a mug, Merlin tripping out, Issac doing his Charlie Brown impression, and Morty in a Freudian pose

Shartak MS Paint Comics is a project with Fester Shinetop as illustrator and main writer. Styled after amateur cartoonist Andrew Hussie's MS Paint Adventures, the comics are released as serials. The content is in part contributed by a user base, and overseen by Fester's editorial decisions.

As with many fantasy genre series, the adventure follows a motley crew of diverse members, resulting with complementary traits and driving character dynamics.

In this case, the major characters are:

  • Issac Shepherd - Your bald, slightly unorthographically named, foolhardy youth of a protagonist with a penchant for trouble. Has the longest character description because he is the central figure and deserves the most text devoted to him as a rule in fiction writing.
  • Neil - A hardy bruiser useful as a meat shield. His real name is Thor but he never got around to correct anyone. Also known as 'Barbarian'.
  • Merlin - Learned wizard as soothing as he is inefficient. Possible pedophile. As with many in the trained arts, he is absent minded and calls the hero 'Dave'.
  • Morty - Everyone's favorite skeleton who totally isn't dead. While most people have 206 bones, Morty usually has 53, yet is still considered complete!

The following is a compilation of the strips released so far.

Protagonists in Prison

The hero shows his diplomatic skills by threatening the king, resulting in his incarceration, and the fellowship is assembled. Sort of.

Breakout and Bone-Chewers

Profiles and Stats

A few short pages overviewing character files and skill progression.
