Character classes

When you create a character for Shartak, you are asked to choose what the character's background is, e.g. soldier, explorer, native villager, etc. This is known as the character class. The character class choice affects what items the character starts with, what skills are available forthe character to acquire, and what the character's Hit Point maximum will be. All eight character types are listed below along with information pertinent to each.

Native characters

  • Scout
Starts with berries and bottle of water. Has 50hp
  • Warrior
Starts with a loaded blowpipe and spare dart. Has 60hp
  • Villager
Starts with a banana and a healing herb. Has 55hp
  • Shaman
Starts with nothing. Has 50hp

Outsider characters

  • Explorer
Starts with a Bottle of water and a GPS unit and has 50hp.
  • Soldier
Starts with a rifle and a spare rifle bulletand has 60hp.
Can learn rifle skills (others apparently cannot?)
  • Settler
Starts with a Bottle of beer and a medkit and has 55hp.
  • Scientist
Starts with 10x gold coin and has 50hp.
