Jolly Roger Gang Declare Derby Truce

"by accosting and neutralising any pirates they find in possesion of medical supplies with possible intent to abuse said supplies."- Futher proof that York and the Order would love to see the shipwreck void of needed supplies and having Pirates be their lackeys. The good men and women of the Shipwreck Know the Jolly Roger Gang's true goals, To give power to Shipwreck and it's peoples! signed--Michael edwards 02:10, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Us, want the shipwreck to be void of supplies? Sounds about right. The fewer supplies you have, the less misery you can inflict upon innocent Yorkmen! -- The Order Of Patriots 18:11, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Oh, don't worry. They can have all the supplies they need. They can have 100 rifles each. Their only problem is actually finding York itself, so we're still safe for now. -Che 03:41, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Ye wouldna' let us have that many flintlocks though would ye? i'm well aware they're not programed into the game, but thats not the point...point is a yorker couldn't find his arse to wipe it wi' a jolly roger if he had both hands, a map, a sextant and a pair o' calipers, and i've nae even ta' mention a nordic see'in stone!-Rozen

The Situation in York

We can assure you that the Order of Patriots have no interest in the bickering of foreign tyrants. Our duty is to the people of Shartak alone and above all else. Does a letter of marque from any self-proclaimed king convey the right to pillage and plunder the homes and lives of honest working folk? The Order believe not. You can keep your 'loyalty' to your petty despot - we in the Order have far higher ideals to protect. -- The Order Of Patriots 18:11, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

You would call the King of England a "petty despot" sirs? I believe that says it all. York Loyalists 18:11, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Tell me this now. If the OoP and the CP did nothing, why did the pirates and mercs leave? They just got bored? Apparently so, because according to this article, they did nothing. Do I smell a York Civil War? Dear Lord, lets hope not. -Che 03:37, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

It says the Order of Patriots are nowhere to be seen when trouble arrives, not the CP. The CP merely do nothing to stop the OoP from treating York as their personal domain, their courage when faced with pirates isn't in doubt. It's the OoP that are the main problem. The question is not why the pirates and mercs left. It's why they arrived in the first place... -York Loyalists 09:55, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

The pirates arrived because they where crying over York being Anti-Pirate, which in turn, they have created it into an Anti-Pirate city. The mercs arrived when they where paid to attack York. -Che 13:42, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Not true. The OoP has previously refused a peace treaty with the Scurvy Crew of the Hell-born Strumpet. Without may we add, any consultation with the rest of York. And there's at least one verified case of an unproved attack (on Arwedda) by an OoP activist- see their talk page. -York Loyalists 14:55, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

I cannot speak for the pirates but I can tell you why the mercs left. Because we were no longer being paid to be there. So we immediately ceased our killing and returned to our peaceful selves.--Tom Failur 17:37, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

YL, of course we refused their 'treaty'! It was a blatant attempt to gain free access to our city, doubtless to kill and rob in dark corners and generally lower the tone. Tom, it seems your most recent departure from york was via the blade of one of our operatives, rather than because your patrons had run out of blood money. Again and again, you claim to be in York only to 'do business', and yet again and again you come back for more. It's almost as if you feel you need an excuse to justify your ramages. --The Order Of Patriots 18:54, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Patriots Honour Defenders of York

I've got news for you. As mentioned in the talk page of Yorkman 05. Che, leader and sole member of the Shartak Rebel Forces killed me. I was one of the prominent figures of the York Defense. His reason? Killing Captain Tyler Whitney. When was this? During the initial MG assault. The man is a fraud and does not deserve his decorations. I have spoken to the order and all they do is make excuses. I regained my honour by slaying the little scumbag in a Hut in York. While good people like the The Pirate Hunters and other unaligned Yorkmen defend York this Che kills them. This is outrageous. I publicly demand an apology from the Order and all decorations be removed. In addition he should be added to the KOS list. If my demands are not met i will cease aiding York and it's defenders. --Serious Sam

If it is true that Che acted in defense of a pirate he should be Honoured!--Michael edwards 02:31, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I did defend a Pirate, an innocent one at that. He wasn't killing anyone. He has 2 York kills. Two. I have more than that, because York is filled to the brim with morons. Now, you killed him. You are "The Pirate Hunters". I'm the Innocent Pirate Hunter Hunter. Plus, this had less than nothing to do with the York invasion. Me attacking you, then hiding in a hut for 6 days, not moving, until you finally find me. This had nothing to do with the 3rd Invasion, was not motivated by the 3rd Invasion, or should be punished by things received during the 3rd Invasion. Go ahead and quit. You're a real York patriot when you just quit because you're still sore over being killed. In my opinion, a guy that can leave the Pro-York side so easily is a threat in itself. -Che 22:16, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Could we not settle private disputes on the Yorkman page? --Black Joe 01:13, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

The reason I brought this to the Yorkman is because it shows how must of a sham the honours received are (plus it makes good truthful controversial news). I am not sore about being killed, we all get killed. As I said the score has been settled. The fact that you even suggest I am not a pro-yorker is absurd. My kill count of pirates and MG personnel in York alone is far above most defenders. If you defend pirates you deserve to share the same fate. You're pro yorker? Who defends the very pirates that are at war with York. He has 2 York kills, that's enough for me and any other defender of York. I couldn't care less if you PKed me randomly, my irritation is levelled at the fact that you killed me during the third invasion. If the Order in their infinite wisdom want to reward that then I don't want to be in a York run by the Order. The fact that the only one defending you is the leader of the JRG says it all. I'm calling the Order, I want justice. Do something! (OOC: I took the liberty of correcting your spelling mistakes). --Serious Sam

Seeing as this is a spell-a-thon, I have taken the liberty of correcting your spelling and grammar errors. Now, lets begin. Now, Dr. Over-reaction, let's get this straight. This was during the 3rd Invasion. Yes. Does that mean it had anything to do with the 3rd invasion? No. I can kill someone in the Medical Hut, but that dosen't mean I did it because it had something to do with the Medical Hut! Now, you can still try to talk to yourself about this being about the 3rd invasion, but it's not. I really doubt that you are a Pro-Yorker. You talk of stop defending York very easily. You wave it around as an empty threat, trying to make people afraid. Where will you go from York? Stay in York and be killed, or go somewhere -else? Good luck with THAT. -Che 22:43, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Gentlemen, such arguing hardly befits the good name of York! This incident was, of course, regretable and poorly timed. However, Che had his reasons and believed he was acting in the best interests of York at the time. The captain's declaration of vendetta regardless has of course demonstrated that pirates will be pirates regardless of how well you treat them, and we're sure a valuable lesson has been learnt about trusting pirates. Both of you were an asset to the defense of York during the invasion, regardless of any differences in outlook or methodology, and therefore you were both decorated, because the Order values contributions to the safety of York above all else.

As you said, the score has been settled. Your loyalty to York is beyond question, both of you, and thus we see no reason for this argument to continue. Next time though, our blades will all be pointing in the same direction, right? --The Order Of Patriots 22:56, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

My thanks for your wishes of good luck. Good luck with starting a clan that gets more than one member. In response to the order: this does not settle anything. Che was mistaken and refuses to apologise. I'm not trying to scare anyone with threats, it was not a threat, I was simply stating my intentions should certain things not come to pass. Death to the traitors and those in power who protect them. I will not share the barricades with those who would so easily stab their 'brothers' in the back; especially for a pirate. You can keep your medals; i don't want to share them with such people. The bad name of those who don't deserve them taint their value. Many deserve them, for them it is a shame that you devalue them. I'm moving on. It is a shame to leave my hometown but until changes are made it can stand alone as far as I'm concerned. As to where i will go; perhaps another outsider town or maybe a stint in the Jungle fighting the scurvy sea dogs. --Serious Sam

When the OoP said "we see no reason for this argument to continue" that means that there is no reason for this argument to continue, not get your final words in. -Che 01:59, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Can we drop it now? Please? Because I'm sick of this whole debate.--Black Joe 02:24, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

The hordes of York-hating pirates up north love nothing more than to see good honest yorkmen fighting amongst ourselves. We in-fight, they look on, rub they paws together, and smirk in anticipation. Serious Sam, make no mistake about this: Che was wrong to protect a pirate. At the same time this does not negate his other honorable service to the people of York during our darkest hour. After all, even the best of us make mistakes. I'm sure that you yourself in the early days after arriving on Shartak, before you became "pirate-wise", let some pirates go as well. Gentlemen, if York is to survive the ever-present--and of-late resurgant--pirate threat, we must come together and end our squabbling. Let us all swallow our pride and march on, together, waving the banners of York as the proud defenders of a great people. Onward to victory! --The Order Of Patriots 05:05, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
