If you hate Pirates this much, why not join the Order of Patriots? They seem to do a pretty good job at slaughtering pirates. --Zydd Soral 22:05 PST August 15, 2006

  • Let me preface this by saying that what follows is strictly my take on the matter and therefore is not official Pirate Hunter policy. The Pirate Hunters are a more aggressive group than the OP. The OP's mission centers around keeping pirates out of York. If a pirate isn't close to York, the OP doesn't really care. Their priority is to protect York, not kill pirates. The PH, in contrast, want to kill pirates wherever they are. That's our main goal, though we also want to protect the outsider settlements. While the OP stays close to York to make sure pirates don't get near it, the PH goes out into the jungle and attacks any pirate we come across, even if they're practically on top of the shipwreck. Also, the OP seems to take its job seriously, and I respect them for that. However, in the PH...well, we don't take anything seriously (especially not ourselves), as evidenced by Zeff's threats to attack pirates with his "surprisingly deadly mango." It's a different tone, and that light-hearted tone was the reason I chose to join. Black Joe

Requests and Information

Troubled by Pirates? Need some help with Pirate Hunting? Is there a specific Pirate you want "taken care of"? Does your group want an alliance? Requests for the Pirate Hunters go here...

Alliance?

Are you interested in an Alliance with the Shartak Rebel Forces? We try to keep York and the surrounding areas safe from Pirates and Natives. - Che 02:28, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

  • An alliance? Of course. We will consider anyone working for the same goal as our allies. Zeff 14:12, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

An Opponent

Good day, honourable opponent. Captain Dan here. I am impressed by your group, tis obvious that you are around the Ship, but, dispite my best efforts, I cannot find you. Hopefully we will meet some time. Good bye for now, my ghost-like opponents. Captain Dan

  • Ah, the esteemed Captain Dan! We've met once in battle already, but I look forward to meeting you again in the field of combat. It will be an honor, sir! Phillip Murray
  • Greetings, Captain Dan. I'm impressed at your persistance, despite your nefarious nature. I seem to recall you tracking me down and even giving me numerous wounds! Very few pirates have managed to track me down let alone deal me damage! It was a shame you didn't see that shark coming from underneath you... XD I look forward to fighting you and your crew members once again! This time without the interference of my pet shark, "bitey". Zeff

The South Shartak Trading Company

  • I've been made aware by one of your men, one Serious Sam, about what a bad decision it would be to sell first aid kits to the shipwreck trading post. He was quite clear that I should not take this action, and has implied that I may suffer a terrible demise if this occurs.

First of all, I do not appreciate threats on my life for doing my job. All threats on an SSTC trader are taken seriously, and all attempts on a trader's life are meet with lethal force, as well as legal action if self appointed justice is not enough. Secondly, we do not like it when we have other groups interfering with our business or making demands on company policy. We at The South Shartak Trading Company adhere to a strict neutrality policy, which means we do not take sides. Everyone has the same rights to have access to our goods. That includes pirates and natives! We will trade with anyone willing, including your group and the York trading post, unless they take constant and consistent hostile action against us.

I ask you, therefore, to respect our position of neutrality and leave us to do business, which is trading goods all over the island. I will, therefore, leave your group to do yours, which is pirate hunting. Respect my company's position of neutrality, and we will respect your position on the war with the pirates. • Have no fear! Although we do highly disapprove of Pirate sympathisers or anyone that has relations with Pirates, The Pirate Hunters will not attack anyone that is not actually a Pirate. I'm sure Serious Sam was merely trying to intimidate you not to do business with Pirates in order to save you from meeting your doom at the hands of a lowly seadog. Since all Pirate Hunters are sworn only to use their highly trained skills on Pirates and savages, there is no way a Pirate Hunter would actually murder a fellow outsider. It is the duty of The Pirate Hunters to go all out to protect their fellow settlers - no matter how misguided they are.

Although Serious Sam is a worthy member of the Pirate Hunters, he is still relatively new - he does not know that Pirate Hunters also use the Shipwreck trading post for supplies when hunting! Zeff

Orders Received and accepted. My plan to bully SSTC personnel by hurling poisonous berries at them from the bushes has been ruined! SeriousSam

A Gentleman's Wager

A sportsmanlike match has been proposed between a member of the Scurvy Crew and the Jolly Roger Gang to take place at the ruins well south of the shipwreck. All habitants of Shartak are invited to witness the match, and bet upon their favorite fighter. Natives who are at the wreck at the date of the match are guarenteed to be unharrassed by the participating clans and Outsiders. If needs be we'll postpone the fight a couple days to let the most people who want to join in the fun. Details will be posted on the Scurvy Crew's and whatever other pages agree to the match. It should be wicked fun. I mean, Come On! It's fight night!!!! Tyler Whitney 03:13, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
